Hello and Welcome!

Introducing Eat Better Food Today! I’m Ken Counihan, your host, and we’re excited to share why we think that what we eat is the key to a healthy and long life. Our podcast aims to inspire, educate, and empower you to live a healthier life and do it affordably. Plus, a percentage of our profits will go towards erasing child hunger, initially focused on the poorest suburb in America, East Cleveland in Ohio.

My wife and I have been on this amazing journey for over ten years and we’re still working on it every single day. Our goal is to live to be a healthy 120 years old. And it’s possible. My great grandfather lived to be 100, my grandmother made it to 99, and her sisters are still going strong in their late 90s. With all the new research on health, longevity, and food, we believe that reaching 120 is doable.

I’ve had the privilege of working in the IT industry for the past 30 years and I’ve traveled all over the US and to countless cities around the world. The differences in food and health between the US and other countries is alarming. But don’t worry, we can do better right here in the US.

Why are we here?

On our podcast, we’re going to chat with chefs, farmers, businesses, and medical professionals to learn how we can improve our health through better food choices. We’ll also dive into how exercise, sleep, community, and purpose play a big role in our well-being and even impact our climate.

To quote the amazing chef Alice Waters,

“As our soil gets healthier, our food becomes healthier, we become healthier, and our planet becomes healthier.”
