Ep. 9 – Using Food to Improve Type 2 Diabetes and other Chronic Diseases

On this episode we are grateful to have Dr. Betul Hatipoglu. Dr Hatipoglu is currently the Medical Director of the Diabetes & Metabolic Care Center, and the Mary B. Lee Chair in Adult Endocrinology at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. She is also a Professor of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Please listen to the end for her final story. In this episode we’ll have a heartfelt conversation on Dr. Hatipolu’s thoughts on healthy food, medications, moderation, variety, and their affects along with exercise on diabetes. Dr Hatipoglu also invited me to her Wellness Retreat this week, where she spent a very upbeat day educating and giving encouragement to diabetes patients, ways of potentially reversing Type 2, music therapy, yoga, continuous glucose monitors, stress management, healthy eating, and much more. More information on the Retreat can be found at https://www.uhhospitals.org/services/endocrinology-services/conditions-and-treatments/diabetes-metabolic-care/diabetes-and-metabolic-care-retreat.
